The RG Perio Concept

The creation of the RG Perio Concept ®

I graduated from University of Madrid, Spain, in 2005 and moved to the UK in 2007. In 2011 I was selected for the three-year full-time programme in Periodontology and Implant dentistry at the prestigious Eastman Dental Institute (UCL,London) where I was trained by some of the most recognised clinicians and leaders in this field such as Prof. Nikos Donos, Prof. Ian Needleman or Prof. Luigi Nibali.  This amazing journey concluded with a MClinDent in Periodontology/Implantology degree in combination with Certificate in Periodontology from the European Federation of Periodontology. I was also awarded the Membership in Restorative Dentistry, by the Royal College of Surgeons of England and Glasgow, a degree that grants entry to the GDC specialist list in Periodontics. Through this extensive training and exciting journey, I started developing the clinical and surgical skills needed for the implementation of the RG Perio Concept®. 

Another aspect of  my job that I am really passionate about is research. This is one of the core values embedded in the RG Perio Concept®, in which I put the latest research and techniques in the periodontal and implant field at the service of my patients. This passion and focus was reflected in the culmination of my PhD research in which I studied and refined some of the latest modalities in implant treatment to maximise their clinical and aesthetic outcomes. These included immediate implant treatment after tooth extraction, simultaneous bone regeneration after implant placement and the use of gums grafts to optimise the final aesthetic results.

I devote most of my time to private practice in central London where I am honoured to have a large referral base of complex cases that require not only specialist treatment but also the experience of having treated such as difficult cases previously. 

I am also fortunate to be able to work as a part-time consultant in Periodontology at Guys’ and St. Tomas’ Hospital where I have the opportunity to teach some of the most brilliant postgraduate students and deliver the highest dental care to our patients.
